Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince filming took place this week in the village of Lacock in the UK. Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) and Michael Gambon (Professor Dumbledore) filmed the scene where their characters visit Slughorn's house in "Budleigh Babberton" and convince him to return to Hogwarts.

David Thewlis (Remus Lupin) was in Toronto this week for the International Festival of Authors, where he was promoting his new book,
The Late Hector Kipling. CityNews.ca caught up with Thewlis at the event and

According to Emma Watson's
official website, Warner Bros. is holding a
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix DVD press launch in London on November 3. Watson
is slated to attend the event. The
Order of the Phoenix DVD comes out November 12 in the UK and December 11 in the US.

are nominees for this year's Children's BAFTAs. The film has also been nominated in the "BAFTA Kids' Vote" category, which is the only award open to public voting. Voting for that award will begin November 2
at this link. The Children's BAFTAs will be held on November 25 in London.

This is Gloucestershire
is reporting that parts of
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince will be filmed at Gloucester Cathedral, where bits of the first and second films were shot. According to the article, "The cloisters at the Cathedral double up as areas in the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, where Harry and friends Ron and Hermione, live out many of their fantastic adventures." Students from nearby schools will be auditioning for roles as extras.

Spike TV has announced the winners of SCREAM 2007, an annual celebration of the best in Horror, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, and Comic genres. According to the
press release,
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix won the award for "Best Sequel" and Ralph Fiennes (Lord Voldemort) was named "Most Vile Villain". The awards were taped last night at The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles and will air on Tuesday, October 23 at 10 PM EST. Congrats to Warner Bros. and Ralph Fiennes!
