Sun Media has released two new reports from the
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix DVD launch which took place earlier this month. In the
first report, director David Yates, producer David Heyman and actress Imelda Staunton praise Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint for their professionalism and dedication, adding that director Chris Columbus deserves "huge credit" for casting such "remarkable children" for the trio. The first report also contains quotes from the trio about topics ranging from extra work they did on the
Order of the Phoenix DVD to what the HP franchise has meant to them.
The
second report focuses exclusively on how the
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince film will be lighter and funnier than previous (and future) HP films. The report says that Watson and Grint are "delighted" about the change, while Radcliffe is more skeptical, saying:
I think the script's great and I think it's going to be a really great film. But I'm just one of those people that, in what I'm doing, I always lean toward the dark side and I really enjoy doing the dark stuff.
I know Emma and Rupert really, really like the lighter stories and all that. And Rupert particularly is really going to have a field day on this, because he's got fantastic comic timing and he'll be able to use all of that to great effect on this film with his relationship with Lavender Brown.
"[But] I'm actually going to miss doing all the morbid stuff, I think."
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince opens on November 21, 2008. The
Order of the Phoenix DVD is already out in the UK, and will be released in the US on December 11.
