There's a wonderfully detailed profile of Emma Watson (Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter films) online over at the Telegraph. In the lengthy interview, Emma talks about Harry Potter, fame and her desire to be a, "proper actress who makes it her career".

Amazon has reviewed the second fairytale from The Tales of Beedle the Bard, titled The Fountain of Fair Fortune. You can read the lengthy review by clicking here. A review of the first fairytale, The Wizard and the Hopping Pot, has been online for a few days. Amazon recently purchased the set of fairytales for a whopping £1,950,000.

It has now come to light that Amazon.com purchased J.K. Rowling's The Tales of Beedle the Bard in London today for an astounding £1,950,000. To the joy of fans, Amazon will be releasing a series of pictures of the set of fairytales in the near future. Four Harry Potter cast members earned nominations at the 2008 Golden Globe awards. Helena Bonham Carter (Bellatrix Lestrange), Jim Broadbent (Horace Slughorn), Jason Isaacs (Lucius Malfoy) and Julie Christie (Madame Rosmerta) all received award consideration.

The seventh and final copy of J.K. Rowling's The Tales of Beedle the Bard was auctioned by Sotheby's in London today. The collection of fairytales fetched a whopping £1,950,000 at auction. All proceeds will go to The Children's Voice, a campaign run by the Children’s High Level Group to help children in need across Europe. The charity was co-founded by Ms. Rowling.

JK Rowling attended a cocktail party last night to celebrate the upcoming auction of The Tales of Beedle the Bard. At the party, Jo read an excerpt from the collection of fairytales to her audience. Bloomsbury has let us know that the seventh Harry Potter book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, will be published in paperback on July 5, 2008. The book will be published with both covers - one with the children's jacket and one with the adult jacket, and will cost £8.99. It will be printed on 100% Ancient-Forest Friendly paper.

According to their respective Sunday ads, Target, Best Buy and Wal-Mart will be releasing special Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix DVD packages in the US on Tuesday. Target's "Deluxe Edition" ($24.99) will include a digital download of the movie, an exclusive 3D cover (left), and a bonus disc dubbed "Building the Magic". Best Buy's "2-Disc Special Edition With Collectible Mask" ($34.99) will contain just that: a collectible Death Eater Mask. Finally, Wal-Mart's "2-Pack Gift Set" ($19.96) will consist of three metal bookmarks - a snitch, broom and globe.

Daniel Radcliffe is nominated in the Dewynters Award for London Newcomer of the Year category for his work in Equus while Fiona Shaw (Petunia Dursley) is nominated in the category of Best Solo Performance for her work in Happy Days.
