When asked how the new release date for the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince film would affect the videogame, an Electronic Arts spokesperson told HPFZ: "We are making a great game that Harry Potter fans will really enjoy — we are evaluating the impact of the movie date change."  The game was (and still is) slated to be released November 13 in the U.S. and November 14 worldwide.

The cover story for Entertainment Weekly's Fall Movie Preview is, as luck would have it, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.  Inside the magazine is an enticing set report complimented by new photos which include our first look at Narcissa Malfoy and Lavender Brown.

J.K. Rowling has updated her official website to wish Ginny Weasley a happy birthday.

A book which contained J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter prequel, among other short stories, has become the fastest-selling short story collection after nearly all 10,000 print copies of the book were sold on the first day of sales.  Profits from the sale will go directly to Dyslexia Action and English PEN.

Ministry of Magic decrees have appeared on construction walls for The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando, Florida.  The first one says, "Magic at work.  Your patience is requested."

Posters promoting the Broadway production of Equus, starring Daniel Radcliffe and Richard Griffiths, have been placed outside of the Broadhurst Theater in New York.  Rehearsals began on Friday.  Tickets for the production can be purchased online here or at the Broadhurst Theater box office.

The U.K. website for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince has been updated with a complete list of international release dates for the sixth film.

Helena Bonham Carter (Bellatrix Lestrange) has been cast in Terminator: Salvation, out May 2009.  "I don't know how much I'm allowed to say, but [my character is] a very bad person," Carter said.
