A logo treatment for the second season of the HBO Harry Potter TV series has been spotted at a Warner Bros. event in Brazil. The logo features the new ‘Potter’ typeface and the second-season subtitle A Câmara Secreta (the Brazilian Portuguese title for the second book).
Interestingly, the logo appears superimposed on an image of the Hogwarts Express travelling over a viaduct bridge, which is often used on book covers for Chamber of Secrets (though without the Weasley flying Ford Anglia). It’s unclear whether this treatment will be used for the second season or was created specifically for the WB event.
Chamber of Secrets (season two) is preparing to enter production, and a number of casting announcements, including Kit Harington as Professor Gilderoy Lockhart and Rafe Spall as Arthur Weasley have been announced over the last few weeks.
The first season of the Harry Potter HBO TV series, an eight-episode adaptation of the first ‘Potter’ book, begins airing on Christmas Day.
