The first official merchandise for the new HBO Harry Potter TV series has been revealed through Amazon’s Harry Potter store. Two designs featuring the new Harry Potter logo and typeface have popped up in the store, both showing a new wand from the TV series and Harry’s lightning bolt design.
One shirt is adorned with The Boy Who Lived (the title of the first chapter of Philosopher’s Stone), while the other includes Ollivander’s quote about Harry’s wand being a brother to the one who gave him his scar. Both are exclusive to Amazon and are also available as hoodies and long-sleeve shirts.
We’ll likely see a deluge of HBO tie-in merchandise over the next few months. LEGO have already announced they’ll produce sets based on the TV series, while both Hasbro and The Noble Collection will produce TV series merchandise (last week we got our first look at Harry’s wand design, after Noble Collection revealed a prototype). Just last week a version of the Philosopher’s Stone novel with TV series artwork on the cover was revealed.
The first season of the Harry Potter HBO TV series, an eight-episode adaptation of the first ‘Potter’ book, begins airing on Christmas Day.
