British illustrator Thomas Taylor designed the original Philosopher’s Stone cover artwork in 1997 and has the honour of being the first artist (besides J.K. Rowling herself) to bring Harry’s world to life. In the years to follow he created a series of rare ‘Potter’ illustrations.
Harry Potter Fan Zone (HPFZ) has been a thriving part of the online Harry Potter fandom since 2003. Beginning as a golden-era fan site, it lives on today as an ever-growing independent archive, preserving and cataloging book covers, chapter art, movie posters, collector guides and more.
For more than twenty years it has remained a one-man labour of love. If you’ve enjoyed exploring the archive and would like to support the project, you can buy me a Butterbeer.
