‘Harry Potter: A History of Magic’ companion books to be published

Bloomsbury will publish two companion books to Harry Potter: A History of Magic, an upcoming British Library exhibition featuring magical artefacts inspired by the magic and folklore of the Harry Potter universe.

The exhibition commemorates the 20th anniversary of the publication of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone and will include art, drawings and books, as well as handwritten notes and sketches from J.K. Rowling.

The two companion books include information, interviews and artwork, while an eBook version will include fun interactive features. Both an adult edition and family edition (intended for younger audiences) will be published.

Harry Potter: A History of Magic opens at the British Library later this year. Both companion books will be published when the exhibition opens on 20 October. Tickets are available from the official website.

For over twenty years it has remained a one-man labour of love. If you’ve enjoyed exploring the archive and would like to support the project, you can buy me a Butterbeer.
